Los Angeles Dodgers star Freddie Freeman revealed his 3-year-old son, Maximus, is suffering from a rare neurological disorder after being rushed to the emergency room a week prior

According to the Mayo Clinic, Guillain-Barré syndrome is “a condition in which the body’s immune system attacks the nerves. The Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman became a dad in September 2016 when he and Chelsea welcomed son Charlie. Freeman was given a leave of absence from the Dodgers last week, traveling from the team’s road trip in Houston back to Los Angeles.
