Miramax Names Alexandra Loewy President Of Film


Miramax has hired Alexandra Loewy as President of Film. She begins her work at the company on May 27, reporting to CEO Jonathan Glickman.

Now based in Los Angeles, she’ll start on May 27, reporting to Miramax CEO Jonathan Glickman, who told Deadline, “Ali has a rare talent for spotting clutter-busting ideas and breakout filmmakers, pairing sharp creative instincts with real commercial firepower. During her time there, she brought in and served as executive producer of Coralie Fargeat’s Oscar-nominated phenomenon The Substance, as well as Nisha Ganatra’s The High Note, starring Dakota Johnson and Tracee Ellis Ross, for Focus Features. Previously, she also served as Senior Vice President at Global Produce and held roles at Doug Wick and Lucy Fisher’s Red Wagon, where she discovered and set up Veronica Roth’s Divergent series as a manuscript, as well as Unique Features.
