MipTV Sees More Than 40% Participation Drop During Final Year in Cannes as Fest Details Plans for London Move
MipTV organizers announced a 40% year-on drop in participation and outlined plans for MipLondon which will kick off in 2025.
MipTV ‘s 61st and final edition in Cannes is seeing an estimated 40% year-on drop in participation, organizers said on Tuesday. While unveiling the figures, RX’s entertainment division director Lucy Smith explained the drop in attendance by the “global market” conditions. MipLondon will give companies the opportunity to “stage separate events” and will allow buyers to attend free of charge and just need to get themselves there to London.”
