Mindy Kaling’s 20-Somethings Hulu Comedy Gets Series Order As She Re-Ups Warner Bros. TV Group Overall Deal
Hulu has handed a series order to Not Suitable For Work, from Mindy Kaling who has has renewed her overall deal with Warner Bros TV Group.
While the marketplace is nowhere near the overall deal bubble of 2019 that saw prices skyrocket, studios continue to put a premium on writer-producers like Kaling who have proven that they can originate and shepherd multiple series at the same time. Since moving to the Warner Bros Discovery-owned studio, Kaling has co-created/executive produced several comedy series, The Sex Lives Of College Girls on Max; Running Point, starring Kate Hudson, which premieres on Netflix next week; and Not Suitable For Work. Not Suitable For Work joins Hulu Originals’ roster of live-action comedies that includes one returning series, Only Murders In The Building, as well as two upcoming ones, Glen Powell’s Chad Powers amd multi-camera sitcom Mid-Century Modern.
