Mindy Kaling Admits She Feels a 'Little Guilty’ for Having ‘Cheap’ Birthday Parties for Her Young Kids: 'Not Proud of This'

During the Wednesday, Feb. 26 episode of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live,' Mindy Kaling talked about how she feels a little bit of mom guilt when it comes to her children's birthday parties as she doesn't have the typical huge Hollywood parties.

The mom of three, who recently celebrated her daughter Anne's first birthday, told host Jimmy Kimmel, 57, that she likes to keep things " very lowkey" in the beginning. When Kimmel responded by saying that is a "normal" birthday party, Kaling added, "Yes, but you know in L.A., when Maroon 5 isn't showing up to sing, you feel guilty. "Mindy respects and understands [fame] in a very intuitive way because in addition to being a brilliant and wildly successful showrunner, an incredible mother of three, a deep and caring daughter and friend and mentor to so many," he shared.
