Appearing at the end of The Last Showgirl — which follows the Baywatch actress as a performer facing a reckoning as her long-running show is suddenly closed down — “Beautiful That Way” finds the pop star cutting to the heart of the film’s message. The release of “Beautiful That Way” comes the same day 2025 Golden Globes nominations went live, revealing that Cyrus’ soundtrack contribution is up for best original song — the musician’s first nod in the category since “I Thought I Lost You” from Disney’s Bolt. Also in the running this year are “Compress / Repress” from Challengers, “El Mal” and “Mi Camino” from Emilia Pérez, “Forbidden Road” from Better Man and “Kiss The Sky” form The Wild Robot.
