Mikey Day to Guest Cohost ‘Today’ 2 Months After Walking Off Show’s Set in Viral Moment
Mikey Day was named as one of the guest cohosts on Today just two months after he walked off the show's set when he found out Hoda Kotb was exiting the program.

Jenna explained to him that she would be welcoming guest cohosts on the show after Hoda left, leaving the door wide open for Mikey to potentially fill the role. Days after a clip from his Today interview went viral online, Mikey told Closer that he “ didn’t know that Hoda was leaving, ” at The American Museum of Natural History Gala in NYC on December 5, 2024.
