Mike White Reacts to Feud Rumors with Former White Lotus Composer Cristóbal Tapia de Veer: 'Kinda of a Bitch Move'

'White Lotus' creator Mike White has weighed in after composer Cristóbal Tapia de Veer quit the HBO show and alleged they'd feuded over the season 3 theme.

In response, White, 54, told The Hollywood Reporter that he doesn't think the composer "respected me" as he slammed his "PR campaign about him leaving the show" and said that de Veer just "wants people to know that he’s edgy and dark." While speaking to the Times, de Veer claimed White "wasn't happy" about his idea to include an alternate cut of the show's original theme song in the season and by that point, they'd "already had our last fight forever." White said that de Veer "would always look at me with this contemptuous smirk on his face like he thought I was a chimp or something" when it came to meetings about season 3's theme — and by that point, the composer had "won Emmys and he had his song go viral."
