Mike Myers would 'go into a depression' over cut SNL sketches until a joke from Conan O'Brien changed him. "He taught me how to say, 'Okay. It’s not the end of the world,'" Myers said of O'Brien.

Mike Myers reveals that he 'used to go into a depression' whenever his sketches would get cut from 'Saturday Night Live,' but this joke from Conan O'Brien helped him change his mindset.

"Dress rehearsal bums me out, and I get nervous,” he said in a new interview with Variety about the recent 50th anniversary specials for the long-running show. Myers was a cast member on the NBC sketch comedy series from 1989 to 1995 and has appeared sporadically via cameos or as host in the years since. One day, he had an epiphany about cut sketches that changed his mindset, which came courtesy of fellow comedy legend Conan O'Brien, who was a writer on the series from 1988 to 1991.
