Mike Flanagan’s ‘Life of Chuck’ to Close Screen Festival of Inaugural SXSW London (EXCLUSIVE)
Mike Flanagan's TIFF-winning sci-fi drama starring Tom Hiddleston will have its U.K. premiere on June 6
Adapted by Flanagan from Stephen King’s 2020 novella, “The Life of Chuck” stars Tom Hiddleston alongside Mark Hamill, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Karen Gillan, and Jacob Tremblay. Billed as a “life-affirming” story about an ordinary man named Charles Krantz, the film is split into three distinct chapters that unfurl in reverse chronological order and are set against the backdrop of a world that appears to be slowly crumbling. Speaking to Variety last year, SXSW London’s director of programming Katy Arnander said the inaugural event sought to differentiate itself from others through creative convergence.
