Michelle Keegan's stellar year continues following her Netflix smash hit Fool Me Once as BBC announce a second series of Ten Pound Poms

The first serious of the period drama followed a group of Brits leaving dreary post-war Britain to embark on a life-changing adventure on the other side of the world.

After a challenging first year in Australia, the new series will follow nurse Kate Thorne (Michelle Keegan) and the Roberts family (led by Faye Marsay and Warren Brown) into 1957 on their adventure down under, as they are determined to make this new country everything they hoped it would be for a fresh start. Series two will also introduce some exciting new characters, including the Skinner family, fresh off the boat from Ireland and the unscrupulous land-lord Benny Bates, with filming set to commence in Australia in mid-February. Michelle has been celebrating the success of her Netflix thriller Fool Me Once, in which she plays military pilot Maya Stern, who believes that she has seen her dead husband Joe (Richard Armitage) on her nanny-cam after his funeral.
