Michael Owen 'prays every night' for 'cure' for son James' rare disease


Former football star Michael Owen appeared alongside his 17 year old son, James, on Good Morning Britain, as they talked about James' Stargardt disease, which is rare and genetic

Michael Owen has emotionally said that he and his wife Louise Bonsall "pray every night" for a cure to be discovered for their son James' rare genetic condition. Michael and his wife Louise share four children, including former Love Island star, Gemma Owen (Image: Instagram)"We live in an age with stem cells that we go to bed every night praying something will be there to cure him, but at the moment, it’s a condition that regresses over time. Michael shares three other children with wife Louise, including former Love Island star Gemma Owen, 20, as well as two more daughters, Emily, 14, and Jessica, 12.
