Michael B. Jordan To Receive 2025 American Cinematheque Award


Michael B. Jordan will receive the 39th American Cinematheque Award in a ceremony November 20, 2025 at the Beverly Hilton.

Sinners has made $319 million at the global box office, making it a major pre-summer success story, as he turns next to The Thomas Crown Affair, in which he is directing, starring and producing via his Outlier Society banner for Amazon MGM Studios. On the philanthropy front, Jordan, whose TV credits include his breakout role in Friday Night Lights and the Emmy-nominated movie Fahrenheit 451, launched the Outlier Society Fellowship and founded the HBCU Legacy Classic. “The career of Michael B. Jordan has been an unparalleled showcase for the combination of superb talent and purposeful vision that has made him a major power in today’s movie business,” American Cinematheque board chair Rick Nicita said Wednesday.
