Taika Waititi's 'Klara and the Sun' movie has set Maria Tharia and Aran Murphy to star alongside Amy Adams and Jenna Ortega.
Klara is purchased by a mother (Adams) and a bright teen named Josie (Tharia) who adores her new robot companion, but suffers from a mysterious illness. Jeffrey Clifford and Rosie Alison brought in the project to Heyday, with Drew Reed bringing it in to 3000 Pictures and Sony. Soon to be seen leading Ariane Labed’s first feature Sisters, in her screen debut, Tharia is repped by Independent Talent Group and Goodman, Genow, Schenkman.
