Metallica's James Hetfield gets tattoo made with a 'pinch' of rocker Lemmy Kilmister's ashes: 'Salute to my friend'

Metallica frontman James Hetfield revealed he got a tattoo made with his late friend Lemmy Kilmister's ashes on his middle finger, nine years after the rock legend's passing.

On Wednesday, the Metallica legend, 60, revealed he got a permanent tribute to the English musician, who founded the British heavy metal band Motörhead, inked to his body. The heavy metal icon died while sitting in front of his favorite poker video game at his Los Angeles home, surrounded by family. His death was announced in a statement on the Motörhead Facebook page, which remembered a 'mighty, noble friend' and called on fans to play his music loud and 'have a drink or few'.
