Metallica Announce Deluxe ‘Load’ Reissue With More Than 30 Hours of Music

Metallica will revisit their 1996 album 'Load' with a "Super Deluxe" reissue that clocks in at 30 hours and 245 unreleased tracks.

However, the real draw is the loaded “Limited-Edition Deluxe Box Set,” which includes, as Metallica said, “the whole kitchen sink.” The 15CD/6LP/4 DVD set boasts the remastered Load on CD and vinyl plus tons of unreleased extras from the Metallica vaults, including one of the band’s headlining gigs from the 1996 Lollapalooza, five CDs of “Riffs, Demos, Session Takes, Rough & Alternate Mixes,” a collection of B-sides and rarities, more live shows, soundboard tapes and more. “To complete the experience, immerse yourself in memorabilia including a pack of 14 Rorschach Test cards, a Pushead patch, an 11×17 Lollapalooza poster, a Rolling Stone cover reproduction, a 5-pack of guitar/bass picks, lyric sheets, two laminated tour passes, and a deluxe 128-page book filled with unreleased photos and stories from those who were there,” the band added.
