The Met Office has warned that the UK will see a 'danger to life' storm within days, as weather map shows heavy and relentless rain set to batter the country amid an arctic blast

It states: "Showers or longer spells of rain, heavy and perhaps thundery, will affect parts of England and Wales at first, especially in the south and southwest but tending to ease away to the southeast early next week. Weather forecasts warn of an oncoming arctic blast that could see the mercury drop drastically watch out for Thursday, October 3, when Scotland might shiver at a frosty -1C, reports the Mirror. Before the autumnal weather fully takes hold, there's a burst of warm air promising summery vibes, with a sizzling 25C anticipated on Thursday, 19 September, keeping us cosy above seasonal averages for several more blissful days.
