The Met Office has issued a rare amber weather warning for parts of the UK as Brits are set to face another weekend of chaos due to snow and freezing rain

The Met Office has sounded the alarm with an amber weather warning, alerting to treacherous travel conditions and potential power cuts this weekend due to heavy snow and icy rain. As the country braces itself for a full week of wintery blasts, stranded vehicles, flight cancellations or delays, and disrupted rail service compound the weekend's rough forecast. Snow and ice warnigns are also in place for huge parts of the UK on Sunday (Image: Met Office)Health Secretary Wes Streeting said on Friday it was “a weekend to layer up and put the heating on” due to the cold conditions.
