Met Office delivers verdict on whether Brits will see snow this Christmas
The Met Office has issued a white Christmas verdict as the UK shivers in a -9C freeze, with some weather models able to anticipate a forecast through to25 December
Despite this week's below-average temperatures, with a chilly -9.1C recorded in Braemar, Aberdeenshire, on Tuesday (10 December), there's no strong indication of a white Christmas just yet, reports the Mirror. However, forecaster Aidan cautions that computer models could shift in the two weeks before Christmas, advising people to keep an eye on updates as the festive day approaches.
