Melissa Barrera Reunites With 'Scream' Co-Stars After Being Fired From Sequel
In November, it was announced that Barrera was quietly dropped from the upcoming 'Scream' film over comments she made online.
Barrera shared photos on Instagram featuring Mason Gooding, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Liana Liberato, Tony Revolori, Skeet Ulrich and Jack Quaid. However, Barrera was let go from Scream VII due to social media posts related to the Israel-Hamas conflict, with the film's studio, Spyglass, citing a "zero tolerance for antisemitism or the incitement of hate." Original star Neve Campbell, who opted out of the previous sequel, hinted at uncertainties surrounding the franchise's future, emphasizing her past treatment and expressing openness to a call while highlighting her expectations.
