Mekia Cox Gives 'Rookie' Couples Update After Nolan, Bailey 'Break of Trust'
Mekia Cox exclusively told Us Weekly what’s to come on season 7 of ‘The Rookie’ for the main TV couples
During the Tuesday, February 4, episode of The Rookie, viewers witnessed Nolan’s greatest fear come true when Bailey’s ex-husband, Jason ( Steve Kazee), came after her following his escape from prison last season. Mekia Cox, who plays officer Nyla Harper, exclusively told Us Weekly that Nolan discovering Bailey’s secret will become a big story line moving forward. Cox added that Harper and James have been “butting heads” over work, explaining that as season 7 moves forward, their relationship is “tested a little bit.” She shared, “There are events that happen that really show the depth of both of their characters.”
