Meikincine Acquires Daniel Hendler’s ‘A Loose End,’ Gabriel Nesci’s ‘Message in a Bottle’ and María Zanetti’s Debut ‘Alemania’ (EXCLUSIVE)
Meikincine adds three key Spanish-language titles to its slate: 'A Loose End,' 'Message in a Bottle' and 'Alemania.'
Hendler, a seasoned actor and director, brings a sharp eye to this latest feature, which is expected to resonate across Latin American and European markets. Meikincine’s catalog also now includes “ Message in a Bottle,” the latest project from Gabriel Nesci, best known for “Casi Feliz.” The romantic comedy stars Argentine actress Luisana Lopilato, a major international name with over 7 million social media followers and credits in “Rebelde Way,” “Chiquititas” and Netflix’s “Perdida.” She is joined by celebrated Chilean actor Benjamín Vicuña (“Fuga,” “Vis a Vis”), adding further regional appeal. “We’re thrilled with the diverse and bold slate we’ve acquired, each film is a strong contender with international potential and a unique voice,” Meikincine managing director Lucia Meik tells Variety.
