The drama ignited over a now viral scene from the hit show when Leslie Bibb's character Kate told her Democrat childhood friends - Coon as Laurie, and Michelle Monaghan as Jaclyn - that she is a MAGA supporter. The right wing media personality took another jab at Coon after the actress appeared to take the high road when she explained why people like McCain would have felt 'gratified' by a scene discussing one character's support for the MAGA movement Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter ahead of the HBO show's season finale on Sunday, Coon said: 'I have conservative people in my life who reached out to me to say that was an awesome conversation, because I don't think it vilifies Kate.'
