Meghan Markle defeats half-sister Samantha over court defamation case
Meghan Markle has won a victory after a judge threw out a defamation case brought against her by her half-sister Samantha Markle, over comments made to Oprah Winfrey
Samantha had taken Meghan to court over comments she made during an interview with Oprah Winfrey and on her Netflix show with Prince Harry. This means that Samantha's attempts to amend her complaint in relation to the book Finding Freedom, the Netflix series, or the CBS interview are all dismissed. She claims that the Duchess defamed her by sharing information with the authors of an unauthorised biography called Finding Freedom and talking about their relationship on live TV with Winfrey.
