Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's reaction to shock Lilibet row revealed
After it was claimed that Queen Elizabeth was "furious" over Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's decision to name their daughter Lilibet, the couple's reaction has been revealed
The Inside Story, serialised in the Daily Mail, reveals that one member of staff said that Queen Elizabeth was "as angry as I'd ever seen her" after the Sussexes' claimed they had her blessing to use her childhood nickname for their daughter. Lilibet is famously the childhood nickname of the late monarch which was used by her grandparents, her parents, her sister and husband - and was the name the Queen used herself when she couldn't quite pronounce 'Elizabeth'. Commenting on the situation, Hardman wrote: "One privately recalled that Elizabeth II had been 'as angry as I'd ever seen her' in 2021 after the Sussexes announced that she had given them her blessing to call their baby daughter 'Lilibet', the Queen's childhood nickname."
