Meghan Markle and Harry end 64yr Royal tradition with new surname for Archie and Lilibet
Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet have reportedly been given a new surname, with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ending a 64-year long tradition established back in 1960
In 1960, it was declared in the Privy Council that descendants of Queen Elizabeth II, except those with a Prince or Princess title or women who’d go on to marry, would have the surname Mountbatten-Windsor.
