Last week The Princess of Wales released what is probably the most intimate look at her life with Prince William and their kids that we’ve ever seen, as she updated the world on her cancer treatment after what had been “an incredibly tough” nine months. Harry recently stayed at Althorp when he travelled home for the memorial service for his and William’s uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes, who was married to Diana’s sister, Lady Jane Spencer. But given Harry’s relationship with William appears to be at something of a stalemate and Kate’s impassioned words last week about entering “this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life”, the Christmas trip could provide an ideal opportunity for the families to begin repairing their broken bonds.
