Megan Thee Stallion Should Lean More Into Texas Slab Music


The Houston rapper just dropped 'Megan: Act II' with the love letter to her homestate "Bigger in Texas" as the lead single.

Her latest album Megan was one of the best of the year, and this second volume that just dropped is equally impressive, as it features slaps from top to bottom basically. During the mid-2000s, Houston’s Swishahouse took center stage, as acts like Wall and Mike Jones helped drive Texas rap music and car culture into the mainstream. On the track “Southside Royalty Freestyle” from her second album Traumazine, she was joined by Sauce Walka, Big Pokey and Lil’ Keke over Juicy J and Mr. Lee production.
