UK weather maps are warning Brits to get ready to melt in a 120-hour heatwave that will scorch the country. The latest heat maps for the UK are beginning to turn red with the warm weather set to hit the nation
And by Tuesday 3 September, don't be surprised if thermometers in London and a bit northward touch a high of 29C, while several areas around may register slightly lower temperatures. James Madden from Exacta Weather has even hinted that the warm spell could kickstart a week earlier on Sunday 25 August, saying: "This will initially see temperatures climbing and ranging into the mid to high-20Cs, at the very least quite widely to begin with. Deputy Chief Meteorologist at the Met Office, David Oliver, advised: "The most likely scenario is for a period of unsettled weather from Wednesday, especially in the north and west with heavy rain and strong winds possible, whilst it may be warmer and less wet towards the southeast.
