With the release of Netflix's adaptation of David Nicholls’ bestselling novel One Day now finally here, we take a closer look at the stars bringing the much loved romance to life
Dex’s father Stephen will be played by British acting heavyweight Tim McInnerny, who fans may best recognise from his roles in Blackadder, Notting Hill, Severance, Stromboli, The Serpent, and White Dragon. No romantic series is complete without a BFF to help the couple stay on course, and One Day is no exception, with Amber Grappy taking on the role of Tilly, Emma’s closest and dearest friend. Fans will most likely know her best for taking on the role of Demelza in BBC’s Poldark, however she has appeared in a number of hit shows more recently too including The Couple Next Door, The Outlaws and The White Queen.
