TV presenter Maya Jama on celebrating her milestone 30th birthday, hosting hit ITV show Love Island and the ending of her relationship with iconic rapper Stormzy
Opening up on Channel 4’s Foxy’s Fearless 48 Hours With…, Maya recounted how the loss of her first boyfriend at a young age made her not want to “let any chance miss me”. Maya then got engaged to American basketball player Ben Simmons in 2021, but it was called off nine months later due to their busy schedules, causing a stir among fans. However, in a shock turn of events, the Love Island presenter and British rap sensation confirmed they’d gone their separate ways once more last month.
