Maya Jama fans are only just realising Stormzy's real name amid sad love split
Eagle-eyed Maya Jama fans noticed that Stormzy signed off their shock breakup announcement message with his real name – which appeared to surprise many social media users
Followers were baffled to see Stormzy sign off as Mike and it left many fans confused as they didn't realise that the singer's real name, to his friends and family, is Michael Owuo. Taking to her Instagram Story, Maya shared a message from both of them stating that they had "tried" to make things work but eagle-eyed fans also spotted that the Vossi Bop hitmaker, who has been rapping since the age of 11, signed off the statement with his real name - Michael Ebenezer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr. In the lengthy but heartfelt message announcing their split, the former couple told fans: "We’ve been laughing whilst drafting this because we never, ever, in a million years thought we’d be the couple announcing a breakup, but for the sake of clarity and, more importantly, to allow us the space and grace that’s needed for us both to be able to navigate this next bit of our lives with peace, we thought it might be best to."
