Maya Hawke Gives ‘Stranger Things’ Season 5 Filming Update: “We’re Making, Basically, Eight Movies”
Maya Hawke is sharing an update on filming for Stranger Things's fifth and final season.
Filming for Season 5 began in January 2024, with Hawke joking on Podcrushed, “This show has been a little bit cursed.” The reason that they write so beautifully for me and for everyone else is because they fall in love with their actors and their characters, and they don’t want to kill them. Hawke explained that Robin having a girlfriend would take screentime away from on-screen scenes with Joe Keery’s Steve.
