Max George says he was 'sh***ing it' before his emergency heart operation as the Wanted star shares a look back at his time in hospital

The Wanted singer, 36, had a pacemaker fitted after being admitted to the hospital in December after experiencing issues with his heart.

Another clip, seemingly filmed post-operation, showed Max humorously complaining about a noisy fan near his bed and the snoring of fellow patients around him. In a new interview, the performer opened up about the crippling fear he'd felt being on a ward surrounded by patients at least 30 years his senior, and told how he'd left instructions on his iPhone in case he didn't make it. Recalling that 'really scary' and sleepless first night in hospital, Max told how he was 'struggling to move' and battled a number of other symptoms including a tightness in his throat and having deep, slow breaths.
