Mau5trap Is Dropping Its Next ‘We Are Friends’ Compilation in 2026 — And Seeking Submissions

Deadmau5's mau5trap label will revive its long-running 'We Are Friends' compilation in 2026 and is currently seeking submissions for the project.

Launched by mau5trap in 2012, the tastemaking We Are Friends has long featured music from rising electronic producers and has over the years included tracks by artists like Rezz, Attlas, Blackgummy and i_o. As reported by Billboard in March, both the deadmau5 and mau5trap catalogs were recently acquired by Create Music Group in a deal valued at $55 million. In tandem with this news, the label is also launching the ongoing mau5trap presents We Are Friends residency, which is set to happen monthly over the summer at Los Angeles nightclub Sound.
