Matthew Rhys has signed on for a leading role in the upcoming Apple TV+ series "Widow's Bay," Variety has learned.
Matthew Rhys has signed on for a leading role in the upcoming Apple TV+ series “Widow’s Bay,” Variety has learned. The official logline states the show is about “a mysteriously cursed New England island and its superstitious citizens, led by a mayor (Rhys) who refuses to believe their warnings.” He recently shot the Netflix limited series “The Beast in Me” opposite Claire Danes, while it was reported in November that Rhys will star opposite John Krasinski in the Amazon Prime Video serial killer drama “Silent River.” He also recently wrapped shooting on the BritBox and BBC1 series adaptation of Agatha Christie’s “Towards Zero.”
