Matthew Perry’s Twitter Account Hacked By ‘Fraudulent Site’

Matthew Perry's official account on X, formerly X, was hacked, according to the Matthew Perry Foundation.

The Matthew Perry Foundation was established to honor the late Friends star’s legacy and to help “others struggling with the disease of addiction.” It is “the realization of Matthew’s enduring commitment to helping others struggling with the disease of addiction” and the foundation is “guided by his words and experiences and inspired by his passion for making a difference in as many lives as possible.” An autopsy report, released several months later, revealed “high levels of ketamine” in Perry’s blood at the time, which likely caused the actor to lapse “into unconsciousness” and drown. Perry was open about his addiction to drugs and alcohol, serving several stints in rehab, including when he was a cast member on Friends.
