Matthew Perry's doctors charged in connection with his death have ability to prescribe medications REVOKED - but they're still licensed

Two doctors charged in connection with the death of Matthew Perry can no longer prescribe medications.

Dr. Mark Chavez and Dr. Salvador Plascencia have had their registrations to prescribe medications revoked, the US Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) told TMZ on Monday. Plascencia had a license to prescribe and administer the powerful tranquilizer, but needed help from another medic to keep pace with the vast amounts Perry was consuming in the weeks before he died. An autopsy found that the amount in Perry's blood was in the range used for general anesthesia during surgery, and listed 'the acute effects of ketamine' as the primary cause of death.
