Matthew Perry's doctor to plead guilty for supplying ketamine before star's death

Dr. Salvador Plasencia, who was charged last year in connection to the death of Matthew Perry, has agreed to plead guilty to four counts of distributing ketamine to the Friends star.

The loss of Perry in October 2023 was ascribed to "acute effects of Ketamine," detailed by the Los Angeles Medical Examiner following his discovery by Iwamasa. Anne Milgram, U.S. Drug and Enforcement Administrator, expresses a belief that Perry developed a dependence on ketamine, and once legal avenues were exhausted, he sought out Plasencia to continue his use. Milgram stated in a press conference last year, "Matthew Perry's journey began with unscrupulous doctors who abused their position of trust because they saw him as a payday and it ended with street dealers who sold him ketamine in unmarked vials.
