Matthew Perry’s Death Investigation Is Officially Closed: Report


Matthew Perry drowned in a hot tub in October 2023, with his cause of death from the effects of ketamine

People reported on Tuesday, January 9, that the Los Angeles Police Department has determined they would no longer be looking into the actor’s death. Perry’s official cause of death was from “the acute effects of ketamine,” according to a toxicology report from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office in December 2023. Police responded to a call of someone in cardiac arrest at a Los Angeles home, where they reportedly found the actor unconscious in a jacuzzi.
