Rosa Salazar has been cast in a leading role opposite Matthew Gray Gubler in the CBS pilot “Einstein,” Variety has learned. The official logline states, “Brilliant but directionless, the great grandson of Albert Einstein (Gubler) spends his days as a comfortably tenured professor until his bad boy antics land him in trouble with the law and he is pressed into service helping a local police detective (Salazar) solve her most puzzling cases.” She is also known for her roles in films like “Alita: Battle Angel,” the “Maze Runner” franchise, “Marcel the Shell with Shoes On,” and “Bird Box.” She is set to star opposite Mark Wahlberg and LaKeith Stanfield in the Amazon MGM feature “Play Dirty” as well.
