Matthew Fox To Headline ‘The Assassin’ Drama Series In Works At Max From John Glenn, Gaumont & Entertainment 360
Matthew Fox is set to star in 'The Assassin,' a drama series from showrunner John Glenn that's in development at Max, Deadline can exclusively reveal.
Written by Glenn based on the book series by British novelist Tom Wood, the project centers on a merciless assassin known only as Victor (Fox), who after being betrayed by an anonymous client, finds himself hunted across the globe by multiple enemies, including relentless CIA operatives and a contract killer equally as deadly. Glenn’s credits includes writing DreamWorks’s Shia LaBeouf thriller Eagle Eye, executive producing and showrunning series such as SEAL Team and Allegiance, and doing production rewrites on films like Law Abiding Citizen. The world’s oldest film company, Gaumont’s library encompasses over 1,500 iconic titles, including The Untouchable, Narcos, Monsieur Gangster, Barbarians, The Fifth Element, Stillwater, Lost illusions, 8½, and Lupin.
