Matt Friend to Host Variety’s Power of Young Hollywood Celebration
Actor Maisy Stella and director Megan Park will receive the Breakthrough Award after their Sundance breakout 'My Old Ass.'
At the event, Variety will present the Breakthrough Award to actor Maisy Stella and director and writer Megan Park on behalf of the 2024 Sundance Film Festival fan favorite “My Old Ass” from Amazon MGM Studios. Last year’s 2023 Variety Power of Young Hollywood event was held high atop Sunset Blvd. at Hollywood’s NeueHouse and honorees included musician Steve Lacy, and actors Noah Schnapp and Sydney Sweeney.
