Mary J. Blige Is ‘Beyond Grateful’ For 2024 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction

Mary J. Blige said she is 'Beyond Grateful' for her just-announced induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class of 2024.

Mary J. Blige was beside herself when the news came down on Sunday night (April 21) that she will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the rest of the class of 2024 in October. Blige, 53, got the good news alongside the rest of the 2024 inductees: Peter Frampton, Cher, Dave Matthews Band, Foreigner, Kool & the Gang, Ozzy Osbourne and A Tribe Called Quest; Jimmy Buffett, MC5, Dionne Warwick and Motown songwriter/producer Norman Whitfield will be inducted in the Music Excellence Award category. The good news for Blige came on “Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Night’ on Idol, with this year’s RRHOF induction ceremony to be held on Oct. 19 at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, streaming live on Disney+ with a special to air later on ABC.
