Marvel Rumor Claims ‘Squid Game’ Star Lee Jung-jae Is In Talks For MCU Role

Lee Jung-jae may soon join the Marvel universe! A new rumor points to the Squid Game star being eyed for an MCU role following his work on The Acolyte.

Scooper MyTimeToShineHello recently posted a rumor to social media teasing that the Squid Game star is in talks for an undisclosed role in the MCU. It makes sense, given Mister Negative is one of the most prominent Asian villains in Marvel’s catalogue and Spider-Man is setting the stage for a more street-level trilogy in the MCU. However, given Lee Jung-jae is Korean and Mister Negative is Chinese, it’s not likely he’ll take on the role unless Marvel drastically changes the character to fit the Squid Game star.
