Marvel Reportedly Considering New Animated Universe Following ‘X-Men ’97’ Success
Fans may be in store for a brand new Marvel universe! X-Men ’97 may be paving the way for a new world of connected superhero stories on Disney Plus.
According to a new report by The Cosmic Circus, the studio is considering creating a shared animated universe consisting of Marvel’s other cancelled shows from the 90s, all of which would revolve around the successful X-Men ’97. The show was widely popular, and also left on an infamous cliffhanger rivaling the likes of X-Men: The Animated Series, making it the perfect candidate for a Disney Plus reboot. While none were as long-lived or beloved as the two mentioned above, they could serve as great filler to make a truly connected and lived-in Marvel animaed universe.
