Marvel Producer Reveals Why ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Cut Episode Count By Half

Is Daredevil: Born Again really too short? A producer for Marvel’s television division breaks his silence about the ever-shrinking episode count.

Brad Winderbaum, who serves as Marvel’s head of streaming, television and animation, recently sat down with the Phase Hero podcast to talk about a number of upcoming projects. When asked why Daredevil: Born Again ‘s episode count had seemingly suffered a Thanos snapping, Winderbaum admitted that the strikes allowed them to refine the series and cut out all of the fluff. And with shows ever-decreasing in episode count, thus decreasing their cultural footprint, it’s unclear if Daredevil: Born Again will overcome the odds to become something truly enduring, or just yet another flash in the pan in the current streaming landscape.
