Martin Short to Be Inaugurated as Mayor of Funner, California

He will succeed his 'Only Murders in the Building' co-star Jane Lynch, who last received the honor two years ago.

Only Murders in the Building star Martin Short is the newest funny person set to be inaugurated as the small town’s mayor for the next two years. The small town, home to the massive resort, was officially named Funner by the Rincon Tribe in August 2016 and is committed to promoting the most fun possible in every business within the city limits. He also must take an oath, in which he promises “to protect fun, good times, laughing out loud and positive vibes from the negative influences determined to turn a smile upside down.”
