Mark Ruffalo thinks Marvel Cinematic Universe had more 'mystique' before Disney+ streaming expansion: "Will it be what it was? I don't know"

Mark Ruffalo thinks MCU had more mystique before streaming on Disney and having nine offerings in 2022, including movies and shows.

Mark Ruffalo, who has played Bruce Banner/The Hulk since his first appearance as the character in 2012’s The Avengers, isn’t sure that the Marvel Cinematic Universe can return to the same stature it had before Endgame and Phase Four, both in terms of quality and box office success. “I think the expansion into streaming was really exciting, but the thing about Marvel movies is you had to wait three years and that created a mystique,” Ruffalo told GQ Magazine. As for whether or not the Hulk will get another standalone Marvel film or when he’ll next appear in the MCU, those are two questions about which Ruffalo himself is still unsure.
