Mark Ronson to Receive Music for Life Honor at NAMM Show


'Barbie' executive music producer Mark Ronson will receive the Music for Life honor at the NAMM show next week.

The interview will be part of president/CEO John Mlynczak’s Thursday morning on-stage session, which will also see the CEO joined by a number of other special guests. Ronson, who has won an Oscar and seven Grammys, will be honored for “his lifelong contributions to music and commitment to inspiring music makers,” via his work on the “Barbie” soundtrack, production and songwriting with such artists as Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Dua Lipa, Adele and the late Amy Winehouse. In addition to the opening Industry Insights, highlights for the show will include halls showcasing 1,600 exhibitors representing 3,000 brands and more than 200 industry and educational sessions for NAMM member communities, including: retail, brands, professional audio, music technology, live event production, music education, artists, nonprofit and community leaders, college music business students and more.
